Breage was a thriving mining parish, modern
maps bear witness with references to old
shafts, old mine workings, barren waste tips
and name which conjure up a true mining
heritage. Wheal Vor, Wheal Fortune, Great
Work, Mount Whistle and many others are
to be found here. “Wheal” is the ancient
Cornish word for Mine............

So Baires, is it possible Dave Webb has lead us to the "Wheal of Fortune?"

Merriam & Webster also say: A Wheal is a suddenly formed elevation of the skin surface: a Welt . . . especially : a flat burning or itching eminence on the skin.

The older folks use to say: If the palms of your hands are itchy or are a little extra warm, then you are going to get some money!! . . . as to when? . . . I don't know!
