Typhoon Intersects 5.38 g/t Au in Extension at Fayolle

11:00 EST Thursday, Feb 14, 2008

LAVAL, CANADA--(Marketwire - Feb. 14, 2008) - TYPHOON EXPLORATION INC. (TSX VENTURE:TOO) announces that an aggressive diamond drilling program is currently in progress on the Fayolle property. Three (3) diamond drill hole are completed to date in the North-West part of the Fayolle deposit in the lateral extension and at depth.

Following the 3D Gocad compilation, many geochemical targets with auriferous potential were identified in extension and at depth from the Fayolle deposit. The drill holes completed revealed felsic and intermediary dykes typical to the Fayolle deposit as well as ankerite and albite alterations, as defined by the compilation.Drill hole FA-07-28, of 316.5 meters length, initiated in December 2007 intersected many felsic and intermediary dykes in an alteration of ankerite and albite envelope. An auriferous grade of 5.38g/t Au over 1 meter was obtained.Drill hole FA-08-01 was performed west of the FA-07-08 however because of technical issues this one was dropped at 99.6 meters. Some anomalous values between 90 and 208 ppb Au were obtained at the end of the drill hole showing a potential of auriferous values of economic interests further ahead in front (at depth) of this one. An additional drill hole is still in progress a few meters away from this hole in order to confirm this hypothesis.Drill hole FA-08-02 was completed in the North-West part in order to confirm the altered zone in ankerite and in albite developed with the compilation and previously tested drill hole (FA-05-10 returned many values including 9.69 g/t Au over 4 meters see press release October 26 2005 at www.explorationtyphon.com). Drill hole (FA-08-02) of 539 meters length intersected many felsic and intermediary dykes of the Fayolle type as well as the ankerite and albite defined earlier. At this time the analysis are being processed. All the samples from the 2008 drillings are sent to the laboratory for analysis under priority mode.Typhoon is presently negotiating to move in a second drill on the Fayolle project in order to accelerate the drill program. The drill program will be carried throughout the year 2008 on the Fayolle property with the objective to test the lateral and at depth extensions of the Fayolle deposit. Typhoon will also carry on the exploration works on its Monexco Au, Cote-Nord U308 and Opinaca Au, U3O8 properties in the course of the summer 2008.Mr. Robert Gagnon, P.
