| MARKHAM, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 8, 2009) - VIQ Solutions Inc. ("VIQ", "VIQ Solutions" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:VQS) announced today that the Corporation has been selected by Atos Origin, a leading international IT services provider, to provide digital recording software and services for a project in the United Kingdom. The project calls for VIQ to provide a complete digital audio recording and management solution for approximately 594 fixed and portable installations across the United Kingdom. The project includes a five-year support and maintenance contract with an option to extend for a further three years. The contract is estimated to be worth pound sterling 3.3 million over the eight-year period. VIQ's value-added reseller, Brahler ICS UK Ltd., a UK-based provider of audio support services, will provide on-site installation and technical support. It is anticipated that early stage implementation will begin in the second quarter of 2009. VIQ's Commercial Off the Shelf ("COTS") enterprise-level Encompass Server and Workstation solutions will be implemented to provide the digital audio recording and management service. The Encompass Server and Workstation solutions provide a redundant, secure database solution with built-in integration with the client's existing case management system.
