Wolverine Minerals starts 2011 Dawson Range work

2011-06-06 10:27 PT - News Release

Mr. Thomas Doyle reports

WOLVERINE COMMENCES WORK ON DAWSON RANGE PROPERTIES

Wolverine Minerals Corp. has begun the 2011 exploration program on its properties in the Dawson Range gold belt of central Yukon. The company has a total of 17 properties in the Dawson Range district.

Crews have been mobilized to a central base camp (shared jointly with Rockhaven Resources Ltd.) in the Mount Nansen area. Initial work consisting of detailed soil sampling, geological mapping and backhoe trenching will be focused on the BBB and DDD-Shamrock properties, where mineralization is known from historical work. This initial work will also include an airborne geophysical survey, to be carried out jointly with Rockhaven Resources, and will cover portions of Rockhaven's Klaza property as well as the company's adjacent BBB property, located immediately to the northwest.

The work at BBB and DDD-Shamrock will be followed up with core drilling later this season. Work will also be directed toward the other core properties in the Mount Nansen area, being the Dade, CCC and Sked-Desk properties. Work is also expected to commence on the company's 10 properties in the Finlayson Lake area on June 15, 2011.

The 2011 fieldwork will be carried out by Archer Cathro & Associates. It will be supervised by Heather Smith, PGeo, and James M. Dawson, PEng, who are qualified persons as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

The technical data in this news release have been reviewed and approved by Mr. Dawson.
