Wolverine Minerals starts 2011 program at Finlayson

Mr. Thomas Doyle reports

WOLVERINE COMMENCES WORK ON FINLAYSON DISTRICT PROPERTIES

Wolverine Minerals Corp. has begun the 2011 exploration program on its properties in the Finlayson district, eastern Yukon. The company has a total of 10 properties in the Finlayson area.

Crews have been mobilized to a central base camp in the Finlayson area. Initial work consisting of detailed soil sampling, geological mapping and backhoe trenching will be focused on the String property to prioritize targets for core drilling later this season. Crews have also started to refurbish the road into the Hoole property in order to transport the reverse-circulation drill rig onto the property. The initial shallow reverse-circulation drilling will focus on the higher-grade parts of the system within the known mineralization. Contingent on the success of this work, a program of core drilling may be carried out at a later date. Initial work at the Gam property will be directed toward more fully delineating the area of anomalous values by grid geochemical soil sampling, prospecting and trenching to assess its potential for drilling.

The remaining early-stage properties in the Finlayson district will be explored by prospecting and reconnaissance geochemistry as time allows.

The company's previously announced activities on the Dawson Range properties are progressing well. Results will be released when they are available.

The 2011 fieldwork will be carried out by Archer Cathro & Associates; it will be supervised by Heather Smith, PGeo, and James M. Dawson, PEng, who are qualified persons as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

The technical data in this news release have been reviewed and approved by Mr. Dawson.
