Aluminum giant Rio Tinto (Alcan) is an international company with operations throughout the world.  They are very active across Canada, including B.C, with offices in Vancouver.   As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation and research, Rio Tinto offers an $18,000 research fellowship each year for a UBC graduate student of pure or applied science related to Rio Tinto Alcan’s activities.  We know from previous press releases that Zen is working with an unnamed aluminum partner on research at UBC.  Could that partner be Rio Tinto?   The Agoracom video dated Dec. 16th, 2019 is of particular interest.  After talking about aluminum for a couple of minutes, our CEO states that states that he “we can’t say enough about UBC-O, and what they have meant to us as a company”.  The link is below.  The aluminum part takes place after about 11 minutes and finishes at about 13:15.
