You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
That's very possible, but I'd rather see them release it later, as in the next day, and include questions asked and the response. An officially prepared announcement is a given, but it won't come close (IMO) to what the stock holders want addressed.
