10:45 AM EDT, 09/22/2017 (MT Newswires) -- Detour Gold (DGC.TO) was modestly higher in recent trade after it said Friday that Frazer Bourchier has been appointed as its new COO, effective Jan. 3, 2018.

Bourchier has held the role of COO at Nevsun Resources (NSU.TO). He has over 28 years of domestic and international experience in the mining industry.
