You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
As long as the company is in a position to borrow funds for continuing operations, there is no need for talking about "Hail Mary" efforts. Besides, I doubt we would hear about such a thing (if it happens) until after the fact.
