Quite an understandable sentiment, but I think I disagree for two reasons:

1. The only information of importance may be that which can't legally be publicly stated at this moment.
2. In the absence of important, legally disclosable information, I think we've seen on numerous occasions that the PPS is actually harmed to due being perceived as "feel-good" news.

Given the above, I'd rather have no news than news that is actually counterproductive.
