To continue, junior mining companies - pubic ones, and not tiny explorers - will sometimes mount a minimalist-type drilling program without announcing it.  This can happen when they are curious but not highly confident about a prospect.  If they do not disclose the existence of drilling, there is no requirement to disclose disappointing results.  I would assume that you would prefer public disclosure on drilling at Hay Mountain.
