TORONTO, ON. – NWM Mining Corporation (TSX-V: NWM) is pleased to announce that
effective Wednesday, June 24, 2009 its trading symbol on the TSX Venture Exchange will
change from COL to NWM.

This change of trading symbol follows the corporate name change that occurred during 2008.
“NWM Mining Corporation has precious metals projects which are located in Sonora State,
North West Mexico. The Company’s flagship property is the Lluvia-Jojoba gold and copper
mining project which is located outside of the town of Magdalena some 75 km south of the
border with Arizona.

Commercial production at the mine is expected to start in August of this year, and the change of ticker symbol is a reflection of the Company’s transition from explorer to imminent gold producer and the aspiration to develop as a junior gold mining company,” stated Chris Berlet, President and CEO of the Company.
