Both public and private sectors got five-day holiday for Eid Al Fitr, but all public sector organisations are closed for nine days from September 17 to September 25.
The employees at the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the state administrative apparatus have been given Eid holidays from September 19 to 23 and work will resume on Saturday 26. With the five-day holidays squeezed between two weekends, the public sector will be closed for nine days.

All the banking institutes in Oman will also be closed for work for nine days as private sector holidays are from September 20 to 26. The banks in Oman observe Friday to Saturday as weekends in their five-day operations. Therefore, banks will close from September 18 to 26 and resume work on September 27.
