RICHFIELD ENGAGES MR. ROB PEASE AS AN ADVISOR

Richfield Ventures Corp. has appointed Rob Pease as an adviser to Richfield's board of directors.

"We are delighted to welcome Rob Pease to the Richfield team," stated Peter Bernier, president and chief executive officer. "Rob brings a wealth of experience in advancing resource- and development-stage public companies. His appointment is a continuation of the 'game-changing' developments occurring at Richfield."

Mr. Pease founded Terrane Metals Corp. in April, 2006, acquiring the feasibility-stage Mount Milligan copper-gold deposit and the advanced stage Berg copper-molybdenum deposit, in addition to other exploration projects. He was instrumental in the takeover of Terrane Metals by Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc., which is planned to close in the coming weeks.

Mr. Pease has been involved with mineral exploration and mine development projects worldwide for the past 30 years. Prior to becoming president and chief executive officer of Terrane, Mr. Pease was continuously employed by the Placer Dome group for the majority of his professional career. In 2002, he assumed the role of the general manager, Canada exploration, and global major projects with Placer Dome. In this role, Mr. Pease was responsible for managing all aspects of Canadian exploration, and overseeing the geological aspects of advanced-stage, major exploration and development projects worldwide.

Mr. Pease holds a BSc degree in Earth science from the University of Waterloo, a professional geologist (British Columbia) certification and is a fellow of the Geologic Association of Canada. Mr. Pease is the immediate past chairman of the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia.
