It took me a few minutes before I could understand that Gold Corp raised the bid to $7.65/s for the entire (?) Osisko. Is this more superior than the YRI offer for 50% of Osisko, hence would have a chance to win the battle?

Personally, I think this kind of "cheap offer, and inching up just a bit" tactic would not get G anywhere, since the white knight YRI (with the support from Osisko BoD) will match the offer plus a few cents...to be in the commanding position again. It would have been better for G to come in with a decisive "knock-out offer" from the start just to scare off the potential rival and to win the hearts of Osisko shareholders.

Would PRB and its shareholders be willing to deal with G? Who would want to deal with cheapskate, unless it is used as a stepping stone to extract more value ($$$$) for the company.
