A large part of the problem with Canadian Securities Regulators is not having a single regulator, so the buck gets passed around, not my job, someone else's responsibility, etc. 

A single Canadian securities regulator would not have this excuse. And would have the combined budget of all the current provincial regulators to do a better job.

The SEC is a pit bull, Canadian regulators are teacup poodles.
