BREAKING: Empower Clinics Announces Joint Venture with Heritage Cannabis for the Production of Hemp Derived CBD Oils and Formulated Products in Oregon USA

  • Heritage, via its wholly owned subsidiary Purefarma Solutions Inc., will install extraction units and related downstream extraction equipment inside Empower’s existing 5,000 sq. ft. licenced hemp processing facility in Sandy, OR.
  • JV will be equally funded by both companies with Heritage investing an initial $500,000 for start-up funds, as the build out completes and the JV secures high quality hemp supply from local growers
  • Once operational, the JV will begin producing proprietary branded products for Empower’s corporately owned physician staffed health clinics in Washington State, Oregon, Nevada and Arizona

Sheldon Inwentash, B.Comm., CA., CPA., LL.D

Founder, Chairman and CEO

As Founder, Chairman and CE0, Mr. Inwentash is responsible for formulating a comprehensive strategic vision and setting the direction for ThreeD Capital.

Mr. Inwentash has more than 30 years of investing experience. He co-founded Visible Genetics, the first commercial pharmacogenomics company, in 1994 and exited in 2001 to Bayer. Through two decades leading Pinetree Capital, Mr. Inwentash created significant shareholder value through early investments in Queenston Mining (acquired by Osisko Mining Corp. for $550-million), Aurelian Resources (acquired by Kinross for $1.2-billion) and Gold Eagle Mines (acquired by Goldcorp for $1.5-billion) to name a few.

Sheldon obtained his B.Comm from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. In 2007, he was an Ontario finalist for the Ernst & Young entrepreneur of the year award. In 2012, Sheldon received an honorary degree, doctor of laws (LL.D) from the University of Toronto for his valuable leadership as an entrepreneur, his philanthropy, and inspirational commitment to making a difference in the lives of children, youth and their families.

Mr. Lone is the President and CEO of Marcon International Inc., an industrial supply contractor serving the Oil & Gas Industry and the US (Department of Defense) with offices in Oakville, DC and London
Mr. Lone currently serves as President, CEO and director of Augusta industries (TSXV:AAO) and Mooncor Oil & Gas Corp (TSXV:MOO)

Roger Rai

.Mr. Rai Is the managing Director of R3 Concepts Inc., a Toronto-based consulting company. In addition, Mr. Rai assists in the sports ownership affairs of Rogers Communications and was responsible for the acquisition of the Toronto Blue Jays. He is currently an advisor to Chobani, Inc., a retail food services company, and is the founder and on the board of the ONEXONE foundation, a charitable organization focused on global child welfare. Mr. Rai was also the Director of Development at C.O.R.E. Feature Animation who produced the children‘s animation movie "The Wild." Previously he was the founder and VP, Business Development of Fastvibe Inc., a web casting company that provides rapid transmission of client content worldwide via the internet. Mr. Rai also held various managerial positions at Rogers Cablesystems and Rogers Wireless, Canada’s largest Communications company. Mr. Rai holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario.

Jordan Black

Vice President, Investments

Mr. Black is a Professional Engineer, with over 8 years’ experience as a consulting engineer. He is experienced in global financial markets and a successful equity, commodity, derivatives and cryptocurrency trader. He is currently working with several early stage and mature blockchain companies. Currently, Mr. Black is a business development manager at Metalyfe.com, providing business development and leadership skills to help scale the Metalyfe browser into the next internet paradigm shift. Mr. Black also consults with industrial scale cryptocurrency mining firms where he provides operational support.

Jakson Inwentash

Director

Mr. Inwentash is also a senior analyst at ThreeD, where he leads the trading of cryptocurrencies and focuses on identifying, researching, and meeting with early stage companies in various disruptive industries. Previously, he worked in investment banking for Gravitas Securities Inc. where he conducted due diligence of public and private companies, built marketing materials for clients, and developed financial models. Jakson also worked for the Bank of Montreal in several departments within the Wealth Management line of business including ETF Products, Fundamental Equities, Private Banking, and InvestorLine.

Mr. Inwentash graduated summa cum laude from the University of Miami with a Major in Finance. He has passed all three levels of the CFA Program.

Gerry Feldman, CPA, CA

Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary

Mr. Feldman brings more than 35 years of experience in mergers and acquisition in the investment community. Mr. Feldman is also the Managing Partner of DNTW Toronto LLP Chartered Professional Accountants. Mr. Feldman received his CA designation in 1985 and is a member of the Canadian Public Accountability Board and a member in good standing with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and Ontario. Mr. Feldman has decades of experience in managing clients in specialized sectors including, securities dealers, mutual fund dealers, mutual funds, exempt market dealers, portfolio managers, investment counselors and public companies, and is an approved panel auditor for the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.
