Because why the rush if we have a deal or expect a deal? Even if the deal doesn't go through or there never was a deal in place (for a buyout) then what do we lose? Nothing. It's not like we won't get them at all if we do want to go shop around. I don't see the rush and see the lack of expediting it as a sign that Teck would rather hang on to it and that's okay with management - and assuming that they're following their fiduciary duties, that can only be positive. It's only negative if management is completely incompotent or not looking out for our best interests in which case the liard share transfer is hardly our problem.
