...Teck's has not retracted their stated goal of 200% increase in copper production by 2018, yet they have added next to nothing in two years. Pressure is on and Schaft Creek meets all of their criteria, including timing of anticipated new production.....

Teck is scheduled to close its copper operation at Duck Pond, Newfoundland in 2015 - this will provide a skilled and experienced workforce for employment elsewhere (though obviously in advance of any SC production), and the possible disposable of equipment, i.e. redeployment
