I phoned the office once and had them read sections of the report on the pit design to me so I could try and understand what was happening.

All I remember is that the optimum slope for those ledges (?) are at an angle of 27 degrees. Apparently the east slope is naturally at that same angle and that limited how the mine pit was designed.

Teck did some technical drills up there to check on the stability of the rock and were pleased. Why they were pleased, I'm not exactly sure, but if they are pleased, then I am too.

Getting this waste included doesn't just convert waste to revenue, but also adds decades to the mine life.
