I would think that a recently done BFS that formed the basis of their purchase wouldn't be deemed "historical"?

Apparently 'historical' doesn't mean old.

The definition of historical estimate has changed under New NI 43-101. It now means “an estimate of the quantity, grade, or metal or mineral content of a deposit that an issuer has not verified as a current mineral resource or mineral reserve, and which was prepared before the issuer acquiring, or entering into an agreement to acquire, an interest in the property that contains the deposit.”

I'm not arguing that Teck couldn't under any circumstances include the SC reserves but I think they are obliged to stand behind what they claim and that caution dictates they review the data.

My previous message quoted something as saying that if they made a production decision on an historical estimate they would de facto be treating that information as current and therefore might have to produce some sort of technical report. As well, they could suffer some discipline.

I just think they are being cautious and will wait until their optimization studies are finished and they have reviewed all the data, or revised it, and put out their own report that their own QP's have produced.

(My font randomly changes size and I've given up trying to control it.)
