I think the answer here is for electrovaya to JV with Dongfeng not a battery company. I even wonder if this has already happened, some of the articles from the previous announcement refer to them signing a develpoment contract. http://www.chinascopefinancial.com/news/article/22576-electrovaya-joins-forces-with-dongfeng-on-electric-vehicles?lang=en When I read these articles it implies a long term commitment to developing battery systems for their two and four door EV's. http://usa.chinadaily.com.cn/business/2013-03/02/content_16268461_2.htm These articles talk about a development program evolving through a series of prototypes, so this was not a short-term contract. http://johndayautomotivelectronics.com/electrovaya-delivering-li-ion-batteries-for-dongfeng-motors/ Also Dr. Fleets recent article mentioned electrovaya having a contract with Dongfeng. Whether they have a current contract with Dongfeng or not I believe the best solution would be to JV with Dongfeng.
