If you look back to the beginning of this project you will find that when they put out the tenders for the battery storage portion of the project there was not a company that met the criteria for the supply contract. This was a unique energy storage unit and would need substantial engineering to meet their demands. No company had made a unit that did everything they wanted. Their engineers came over to Canada to assist electrovaya in working on this project. There have also been delays with the company making the cabinet for the storage unit. Not sure how much of the blame is with electrovaya and how much is with the contractors. There were also design changes that occurred after awarding the contract. It is a complicated project.
