Hello Jeannie, I am a long time share holder in GMC. I invested prior to Geovic going public and increased my holdings significantly during December 2007 and January 2008 when the price dropped so low. I still feel the price is very low and GMC will be worth at least 5 times its present value when mining actually starts in 2010 or 2011.

Third world countries are very dangerous places to invest (First and second world countries are quite dangerous places also).  Cameroon is reasonably stable for Africa. The mine site is in a very remote part of the country so I am not very worried about civil unrest unless an actual civil war was to erupt.

Invest what you can and diversify so no one project will destroy your financial situation.
