I've heard Bob Rae even say that all parties want to avoid going to court. Even as he says that Consent is a requirement now.

However, the FNs surely feel embolden.

The numbered treaties are a different case than in BC. An agreement will be had instead of court.

These are traditional lands ceded over to the crown, represented as Ontario and Canada today.

Rae would at least surely advise the FNs that it is not in their interest to go to court over this. There was a posting about Treaty 3 not too long ago by Babs and that is a similar case.
