Complex situation...I see both sides of the equation with neither being blameless . I suppose one could argue ad nauseum as to which of the two sides played a greater role in the present mess...Greece with it's overpaid civil servants, ridiculously generous pension schemes, and well-known longstanding widespread tax-evasion practices versus those accomplices (JPM, Goldman et al.) who abetted Greece in entering the EU, knowing full well that their fiscal house was very far from being in good order ( http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/14/business/global/14debt.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 ).... Methinks that John Perkins Confessions of an Economic Hitman should be a mandatory prerequisite read for all public civil servants , actually for that matter, for all highschool students . At the end of day a pound of flesh will be extracted no doubt- the only question which remains is whose skin will be at the tip of that triple-edged (Troika's) knife .
