Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange travel to Phoenix to help finance local companies

    TORONTO, Oct. 1 /CNW/ - TMX Group Inc. (TSX:X), operator of Toronto Stock
Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange, will hold an information session today in
Phoenix at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa.
    The event will begin with the Keynote Luncheon at noon, featuring remarks
from the new CEO of TMX Group, Tom Kloet, who will address why over 140 US
companies, and 17 in 2007 alone, chose its equity exchanges as listing
destinations. The event will be emceed by Kevan Cowan, president of TSX
Markets and Group Equity Head, and will host a presentation from Lorne Abony,
CEO of Fluid Music, and Andy Larson, CFO of MicroPlanet Technology
Corporation. As leaders of US-based companies listed on Toronto Stock Exchange
and TSX Venture Exchange respectively, each will speak on the reasons behind
their listing decisions and the consequent benefits. The luncheon will be
followed by the Going Public Workshop from 2PM to 4PM and a networking
