This board has been a tough read today. Lots of bad logic used to explain the SP drop. I felt like responding to certain posts, but I'm going to refrain because frankly I don't know where to start.

The arguments I find particularly stupid are those that raise questions about POET's viability as a technology simply because the SP is off year highs due to the PP. I'd say it's pretty obvious what let the air out of our balloon. It's not lack of MS announcements (they're not late yet), it's not competing technology, it's not a failure to get required yields for MS7, it certainly isn't bad management, etc.

For those questioning POET yields and performance - based on absolutely nothing, by the way - can you explain why the company is moving forward with the design kits? Not only are they moving forward, they have accelerated the development of these kits to complete them concurrently with MS8! Doesn't this clearly communicate the success of the MS to date? Maybe they're not prepared to release NRs regarding completion of certain MS, but they obviously know enough to complete work on the TDKs.

There was no reason for the run to 84. So people should stop whining about money they lost when they didn't really lose a thing. And remember that that money just appeared by magic less than a week ago so it's pretty silly to have fallen in love with your new balance so soon.

Seriously, the reaction and lowered sentiment was as predictable as the SP drop after the PP. This is when the permabears come out to play. I've seen it too many times now and even so, nothing ever prepares me for the ugliness of it.
