I think we need to relax here a bit. There has been studies done in the past, where simular technologies are developed at the same time even though it is separated by oceans or mountains. We are at a point in this technology that demands new solutions. Considering the amount of money that can be made - it only stands that there is a ton of research being done. After all some choose to buy a porche while others will buy a challenger - almost the same.....but the challenger is brute muscle.
