Well stated Baba, one of the top posts of the week!

Time frame is a very relevant topic for discussion.  Part of the disconnect is the vast majority simply don't understand the industry's expectations on technology development and time to market.  In this industry, this is measured in years not months or quarters.  Large players such as Cisco may spend 3 or 4 years and hundreds of millions (or billions) developing a technology.

Is it realistic to expect them to drop whatever they are doing to take a chance on a startup with a fraction of the resources, no matter how promising? Absolutely not.  More likely they take a wait and see approach, continuing with their roadmap until the other option is fully proven out.

Bottom line, the Cisco's can afford to wait and have nothing to lose by doing so.  That said, could POET do a better job explaining realistic expectations to investors, absolutely they could, and a valid reason for criticism IMO.
