Happy New Year to all!

I read the Gazette article with great interest and had the same thoughts as Cameltrader. Quebec is so hypoctitical in its outlook on energy. Like hydroeletricity had no environmental impact. How many million acres of land was flooded to create the James Bay project? Then they turn around and sell the product to the U.S., denying Ontario the benefits of this so called "clean energy" ...and to support their own need for energy they import crude oil from countries in conflict...all the while accepting transfer paytments from the rest of Canada. Hypocracy is Quebec.

By the time QEC is aloud to proceed with the development in the Quebec lowlands the rest of North America will be ahead of the game and area may not appear to be as desireable as it once was. Just my opinion...

Let's hope some rational thinking in Quebec eventually comes into play for our sakes. Their debt and dependency on the rest of Canada should be a contributing factor for a positive decision this fall...but one never knows when a mix of politics, emotion (ignorance) and nationalism comes into play. Heck maybe they will nationalize the resource and lock us all out. Again just a thought...

Best wishes to all QECers for a happy and prosperous 2012. The information posted on this board is well received and much appreciated. Keep up the great posts.

Regards, Foghorn
