No way they are at 125 MACE events now..... This would have triggered the futility analysis that is not anticipated until mid 2017. At 175 events there is a sample size estimate that will determine whether additional patients beyond the original 2400 are required. If additional patients are required, the total increases by 1200 patients to 3600. If 2400 patients is still OK, trial goes until 250 events. If 3600 patients are required, trial goes until 375 events.
