Yes, and "rigorous academic" likely means the p value did not miss by much and the treatment arm did better than the placebo arm.

By extension, this would lend credence to the theory that the crestor/208 group may have singificantly outperformed the crestor/placebo group.

This is all speculation....but that is all we have for the next 6 weeks.
