"Buy" reco's based on MSFT acquisition ... but what if?

Just saw an analyst on Fast Money say YHOO is a buy because his firm is anticipating an acquisition MSFT.

Is this the only reason to buy? and if it is, wouldn't MSFT know this and negotiate it to their advantage?

What happened to buying a real company with real growth?

I know MSFT needs to acquire YHOO but if that is all the market is valuing then be prepared for it to be exploited. MSFT has the cash and time is on their side. They don't need to rush into it if they can save $5 billion by saving 3-4 bucks a share.
