We have very mixed messages from mining stocks and metals this morning. Base metals are mostly up (zinc by over one percent). Up too are platinum group metals, though gold and silver are off slightly.

However, there are exaggerated divergences among mining stocks. Key indices are off quite strongly, but ETFs are up as much as the indices are off. For instance, ...

Uh, never mind. I just checked and that big downer for mining stocks just turned green.

Curious start for the day. Shows that big money is unsure of itsefl, IMO, and searching for direction.
