In the latest auction, uranium prices advanced by a dollar to 38 dollars per pound, the largest move we've seen a long time. Last week the price was up 50 cents from a week before.

The price had been as low as 28 dollars as recently as June of last year, so the recent price represents an improvement of around 35 percent over 16 months (around 2.25 percent per month).
