Thank you, Valuepro, for your shared research. I'll coment on the 100 year chart, as a lot of that I can relate to.
In the '50's wages for a technition were about $3. - $4. an hour. A new car, about $700. In 1980 those dollar denominated values were only slightly higher. Mayby double.
The spike in 1980 is so much more profound than what is happening today because of the devalued dollar. A real new high in gold would have to be well over $20,000.
Does anyone know how to spell technicion? I use to be one but I have the Joe Biden desease.
