I can recall reading commentary in the late 1970s and into the 1990s about inflation and the price of gold looking into the future. I've forgotten who the commentators were, but some were saying government spending and fiat money were going to be the roots of increasingly volatile markets, including increasing inflation with ever-larger spikes within increasingly narrower troughs or lows.

Looking at history, this is proving true.  Get ready!
