Rumors of war or funny stuff from a federal office caused POG to spike to a new all-time high today, soaring to $2,378 before falling back to about $2,373 (suggesting it will go lower overnight). 

That dragged silver along for the ride to $28.44, a new closing high after 35 months.

Copper closed down marginally.
