Solid Gold Resources Corp. Announces Results of the Special Meeting of Shareholders

Toronto, Ontario – (Marketwire – May 2, 2013) – Solid Gold Resources Corp.

(SLD:TSXV)(the "Company") announces that, effective today, at the special meeting of

shareholders held in Toronto on May 2, 2013, the Company’s shareholders removed Darryl

Stretch, Michael Koff, Alan Myers and Robert Krause from the Company’s board of

directors, and elected Andre Tanguay, Ronald Goldsack and Gary Schellenberg to the

Company’s board of directors. Robbie Grossman, who was not subject to the ordinary

resolution, remains on the Company’s board of directors.

The new directors would like to express their gratitude to the Company’s shareholders for

their support.
