Welcome To The Bear Creek Mining HUB On AGORACOM
Edit this title from the Fast Facts Section
Bear Creek is focused on exploring and developing precious metals projects situated in emerging mineral districts of Peru. The Company has an exceptional track record of creating shareholder value through generative exploration programs, and is led by a management and technical team with extensive industry experience in South America.
Bear Creek has advanced its flagship Corani Project to the stage where metallurgical and pre-feasibility studies are warranted to examine a potential bulk-tonnage silver mine with robust base-metal credits. The world-class project hosts three adjacent open-pittable deposits that collectively contain 327 million ounces of silver, 3.97 billion pounds of lead and 2.46 billion pounds of zinc, with another 35 million ounces of silver in the inferred category. Ongoing exploration is focused on expanding resources and testing promising new targets.
Another core asset is the Santa Ana Project, where ongoing exploration is defining a near-surface, bulk-tonnage deposit amenable to low-cost heap-leaching and open-pit mining at a low stripping ratio. Other projects are being explored as joint ventures with industry partners.
Bear Creek's exploration efforts are bolstered by robust prices and fundamentals for most metals, particularly silver, where fabrication demand continues to exceed mine supply. The persistent supply deficit, surging investment interest, and strong growth in industrial fabrication demand together underpin silver's strong price performance. Peru is considered one of the best places to discover silver deposits, and recently surpassed Mexico as the world's leading silver producer.
