Both province and Feds need to come out and tell us where the report is?

They owe it to tax payers who paid for a study of a study.

During the question and answer period March 1..when this money was announced...it was mentioned the study would take 4-6 months. We are now in the 8th month!

When you look at the names listed you see:

Webequie First Nation, in partnership with the First Nations of Eabametoong, Neskantaga and Nibinamik

WHen you see this link below...and you scroll down and look at Approved plans and Terms of Reference :

http://www.ontario.ca/page/land-use-planning-process-far-north

You will see Webequie, Eabametoong, ....but no Nibinamik and Neskantaga...

My question is :....is this the hold up for a measely road. Is there political dancing around with talks pointing at money...which makes NO sense to me..since for a project of this scope ...money would generously come from many sources. Infrastructure MAKES MONEY. 407ETR will tell you so.

Is the holdup Nibinamik and Neskantaga??

As an example..I'm looking at stuff like this for Nibinamik

http://nibinamik.tbayit.ca/home/lands-resources/community-based-land-use-planning/

Working with CE Strategies for our Community Based Land Use Planning has given our community the necessary tools, understanding and information to continue to build an effective community based land use plan.”
-Tommy Yellowhead, CBLUP Coordinator Nibinamik First Nation

http://www.northerngis.ca/portfolio/

In the case of Nibinamik ..the Ontario gov't site does not even have their draft listed.

What is the holdup?? IF CE strategies has given Mr. Tommy Yellowhead...all necessary tools and understanding and information to build this land use plan....where the heck is it??Where is the draft?????

http://www.davidsuzuki.org/media/news/2014/11/david-suzuki-foundation-supports-call-for-moratorium-on-mining-permits-in-northe/

One year ago...these same 2 bands. Nibinamik and Neskantaga...were the 2 of 9 Matawa members..that were stirring up trouble...."claiming" not enough consulation.

In September, Neskantaga and Nibinamik were two of nine Matawa communities calling for a moratorium on granting future and pending permits until First Nations and the Ontario government develop a regional protocol to address the issue, as they believe adequate consultations are not taking place.

so what is the truth? Oct. 19, I will vote for the Party that tells the truth...

I don't want to hear about money...because I don't believe that is what this is about.

Is the truth that 2 OUT OF 9 ....are holding back jobs for all of Ontario....and the provincial government has no guts?

Are 2 out of 9 the difference between keeping Canada in recession longer than necessary?

I look at the news in May of this year from Christy Clark, BC

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/christy-clark-announces-lng-agreement-with-petronas-1.3080322

The Lax Kw'allams rejected one billion dollars......Christy Clark announced the LNG agreement with Petronas regardless. It is a significant project that will provide long term revenue for BC.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/lax-kw-alaams-band-reject-1b-lng-deal-near-prince-rupert-1.3072293

"Observer and energy lawyer David Austin, who is with the firm Clark Wilson, said Tuesday before the vote that the band's rejection wouldn't necessarily scuttle the project.

Lelu Island is Crown land managed by the Prince Rupert Port Authority, which means the province technically has the authority to push ahead without support from the Lax Kw'allams.

Even if the band proves it has aboriginal title — which would require proving it has had exclusive occupancy of the territory — Supreme Court precedent gives the province the right to override that claim."

As for the ROF project....I wish we had a Christy Clark type here if the issue of the holdup is the 2 out of 9.
