I predict that a lot of future "basic technologies" will use this optical interposer technology.

Examples:

  • Optical compute chips
  • Quantum computing with single photones
  • Quantum dot displays
  • etc, the list will be long!

Let us remember: When Paul Eisler developed the basic technology for PCB boards in 1936, he had no idea what can be done with it.
