Mr. John Martin is a registered professional engineer with experience in both open
pit and underground mining operations. He has managed projects ranging from
initial exploration and feasibility through project and regulatory approval to the
financing and operational stages. He has been involved directly with construction,
commissioning and operation of mines as well as the operation and management of
mineral processing facilities. Special skills include proven ability to: manage, lead
and achieve results within a complex environment; develop and implement long
range plans to optimize financial return while focusing on safety and environment.
He has the ability to play a leading role and/or participate in a team setting.
Mr. Martin graduated from University of Toronto with a BASc in Chemical
Engineering. He managed operations that received John T. Ryan awards in
recognition of safety performance on three occasions. He is a member of the
Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick and
the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
