Is there any way we can see how many shares are shorted on a daily basis? The bi-monthly shorts report only gives a snapshot of how many shares are shorted on the 15th and 30th of each month, if I'm not mistaken. But a trader can short say 100,000 shares on the 17th and cover by the 20th and it would not show up in the report. Or even daily. They can short 50,000 in the morning and cover the same day, no? It would be interesting to compare the short action to the price movement.
