New developments at the Mont-de-l?Aigle property
Rimouski, June 5 2008 ? Ressources Appalaches (APP-TSXV) is pleased to announce
the resumption of work on its Mont-de-l?Aigle property in the Gasp? region by Threegold
(THG-TSXV).
In January 2007, Appalaches signed an agreement with Threegold for additional work on
its Mont-de-l?Aigle property. Threegold obtained an option to acquire a 50% share in the
property by investing $2,000,000 in exploration work over a period of five years,
including a commitment to spend $500,000 over the first two years.
In a release dated June 5 2008, Threegold states that the Company is currently drawing
up a program for the Lemieux Dome including about 10,000 metres of drilling and
miscellaneous reconnaissance work, most of which will specifically target the northern
portions of the property optioned from Ressources Appalaches, with the objective of
securing a 50% interest. In addition, three copper showings on the Appalaches option
(Hatie, Ruisseau Anomalie, and Eagle-Gasp?sie) will also be investigated this year. The
Company has put together an exploration team which, with the support of specialized
consultants, will ensure the effective conduct of the field work; Threegold plans to invest
$1.2M on the Lemieux Dome Project during2008.
Previous work by Appalaches has indicated the potential for discovery of an IOCG [ironoxide
copper gold]-type?? copper deposit in this part of the Dome.
