June 01, 2011
VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA CANADA(June 1, 2011) Carmanah Technologies Corporation (TSX: CMH) is pleased to announce the sale of its EverGEN 1710 solar powered lights to a US federal government parking lot facility located in the Midwest, in a project worth almost $400,000.
This deal marks the second installation by this particular government agency using EverGEN 1710 solar lights for a parking lot installation. The installation is in the Midwest of the United States and represents an excellent example of solar powered lights being a technology that can be implemented anywhere in North America. The installation took advantage of the Advanced Occupancy Sensing (AOS) feature of the EverGEN 1710 which maximizes lumen output potential for this geographic area. The AOS feature also matches the output of light with actual traffic patterns and requirements for light by users in the parking lot.
