Perhaps because Connacher has a high degree of confidence that there is plenty of bitumen on the Great Divide property and therefore, they are not concerned regarding accelerating depletion on one of their pods. Additionally, it would increase their cash flow thereby, decreasing the need for additional borrowed capital to finance additional pods. If this is the reason, it is good planning
