Great post, I'd like to clarify something to you regarding your comment. I noticed you're posting from Abu Dhabi, far away from Canada.. Where I'm from and especially in my age group ( 43)," What have you been smoking" is a humorous way of expressing disbelief. Jurek misunderstood the intent of one of my post and thought I was making fun of his English. I thought I was clear and couldn't understand his response. Hence the What have you been smoking.

I'd have to believe that Jurek understood the humorous intent of the content ( and mentioned his indulging in sipping , which I'd assume means fine Scotch , Cognac or Brandy) and he was also gracious enough to apoloize for the misunderstanding.
