I have noticed that over this past week, that the institutional holdings as reported by Reuters have dropped from about 140 million to about 101 million shares.
This posting is not meant to be a bashing posting, but my question to the board is, does anyone have an idea as to what has happened here?

Also, the three month net change is only 534,000, which is a great difference from 40 million shares.
Does anyone have another source with regard to institutional holdings? It looks to me like it may just be an error (or a number of errors) in the reporting of the numbers. As you all know, the volumes recently have been quite high, so perhaps the above results are in part, due to high speed trading, etc.
